Why choose a youth dinghy intermediate sailing course?

Now you can handle the boat on your own in moderate conditions, the intermediate courses concentrate on improving boat-handling skills as both helm and crew and problem solving afloat as well as an introduction to race skills.

The perfect course for recreational sailors as this forms a good grounding for sailing in more difficult conditions and is great preparation for the advanced modules. Available for youngsters aged 10+ years.

What will I learn?

RYA Seamanship Skills - the course will focus on launching and recovering the boat in different circumstances, stopping, reducing sail, recovering a man overboard and anchoring.

After the course you be more able to handle a wide range of situations afloat.

RYA Start Racing - the course will focus on the basics of racing including race starts, course etiquette, mark rounding and theory of getting around a course quickly.
