Now you have mastered the basics, it’s time to progress to the next RYA course. Improver courses are all about consolidating your previously learnt skills and preparing for the intermediate course. These courses will give you the confidence to go out and sail a boat on your own and prepare you for even buying your own boat. Available for youngsters aged 10+ years.
RYA Stage 3 - the course will focus on rigging, launching and recovery, sailing techniques, capsize recovery and sailing theory.
After the course you be able to launch & sail a dinghy around a triangle in moderate conditions.
RYA Stage 4 - the course focuses on launching and returning to a beach, jetty or mooring, and sailing a crewed dinghy around a triangular course in moderate conditions.
After the course you will be able to launch & sail a dinghy around a triangle in moderate conditions.

We provide the boats, buoyancy aids and waterproofs, all you need to bring is a change of clothes, a towel and some shoes you don't mind getting wet, and of course yourselves. Of course bring any of your own sailing gear. Further information will be sent to you on booking.
