It’s NEVER too late to get into sailing and that’s the beauty of the sport! So if it’s something you’ve always wanted to do, make NOW the time to give it a go!
Sailing is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and whether your aim is to join a club and become a seasoned racer or to just simply mess around on the water with family and friends, our ‘Get into Sailing’ sessions are a great starting point. The beauty of sailing is that you don’t have to be particularly fit, able-bodied or even a good swimmer as you’ll always be wearing a buoyancy aid - you just need to have the desire to ‘give it a go’!
Our ‘Get into Sailing Days’ will take place on selected Saturdays throughout the year. With the focus on both learning and fun, these non-certificated but instructional days are designed to get you out on the water and hopefully discovering a love of a new sport.
Are you someone who used to love sailing as a youngster but then found that work commitments, illness or having children has meant that you have been unable to pursue your passion? Unfortunately sometimes life just takes over and you find that it’s all about work or ferrying your children to so many clubs that you don’t have time to enjoy the things that you love doing.
Our ‘Get Back into Sailing’ sessions will will take place on selected Saturdays throughout the year. These sessions are designed to encourage you to come back to sailing, brush up on the skills you learnt years ago and to further develop your sailing. One of the most important part of these sessions is for you to enjoy what you are doing! So while we will still be given RYA instruction (however you will not receive an RYA certificate), the emphasis is on you having fun, meeting new people and enjoying the social aspect of getting together, as much as what you learn on the water.
