Our Activities

Dinghy Sailing

Your pupils will sail either on their own, or with friends, whilst our instructors coach from one of our many safety boats.

SKILLS +
  • To be able to sail a dinghy with guidance
  • To apply the basic skills required
  • To recognise scenarios & act pre-emptively!

Catamaran Sailing

Sailed by up to 4 people, these boats are fast, exciting yet stable - giving students a real chance to experience the thrill of sailing.

SKILLS +
  • To participate as part of a team & actively coach each other when roles are swapped
  • To listen to and respond appropriately to others and provide feedback in relation to progression.

Windsurfing

With fun, games and encouragement, our enthusiastic instructors will take you quickly through the basics of this addictive sport.

SKILLS +
  • To be able to stand and balance on a board
  • To raise the sail and control the sail and board correctly
  • To be aware of position in relation to others and what measures to take in order to avoid contact.

Kayaking

Explore the secret creeks and channels and land on secluded beaches only accessible to paddlers or develop skills with a game of kayak polo.

SKILLS +
  • To demonstrate the basic skills required for kayaking including a variety of paddle strokes
  • To work as a team to manoeuvre the boats and understand how different roles exist and their importance

Mountain Biking 

Explore the peace and beauty of the local area as you rally down the trails, through streams and over bumps. France only.

  • To acknowledge and understand the basic concepts of bike anatomy and functions
  • To understand and incorporate skills to ensure that riding performance is conducted in a safe and consistent manner.

Climbing Wall 

Climbing is sure to challenge even the most energetic groups. Learn not only to climb, but how to work effectively as part of the team.

  • To undertake a series of physical challenges
  • To work both individually and as part of a group
  • To acknowledge and understand the need for different techniques across a variety of obstacles.

Bell Boats 

The Bell Boat is totally unique design in watercraftt, its purpose is to remove the fear of taking part and to help with team work.

  • To apply personal skill  in communication, teamwork and/or leadership throughout the session
  • To listen and respond appropriately to others.

Surfing 

Learn to catch waves and master the 'pop up'. Once you can stand you will learn how to trim and control the board. Additional charges apply.

  • To understand the basic skills required and be aware of safety considerations
  • To challenge personal ability through session games targeting specific skills.

High Ropes 

Work your way through various obstacles strung high amongst the trees and gain a real sense of achievement. Additional charges apply.

  • To work together to achieve goals set and to evaluate personal success.

Rafting 

A challenging activity which provides a great sense of personal and group achievement. France only. Additional charges apply.

Raft Building

A challenging, thought provoking activity. And whether that raft floats or not, it certainly gets your group talking and working together.

Water Park 

Enjoy a range of rides in either an outdoor water flume park (France) or an indoor pool complex of water flume rides (UK). Additional charges apply.

Stand up Paddleboarding

A great group activity which will allow your pupils to explore the lake. Who will have the balance to stand up, and will they stay on?!

  • To demonstrate correct use of a paddleboard
     

Abseiling 

A great personal development activity, requiring each person to navigate their way to the bottom and build self confidence.

  • To be able to lean out from the tower and put all of your trust in the rope
  • To be able to navigate your way to the bottom
  • To demonstrate control

Archery 

Requires precision, control and a steady hand. Hitting the target, let alone the bullseye is not easy, so it's about patience and  perseverance.

  • Develop techniques required to hit the target
  • Learn how to be calm under pressure
  • Hand eye co-ordination

Crate Stacking 

How tall can you build your tower before it comes crashing down? This is much easier than it sounds and requires both trust and communication.

Jacob's Ladder 

How high can your team climb together? Can you hold your nerve on an unsteady ladder, maintain composure and  reach the top?

Leap of Faith 

Before you can jump to reach the trapeze bar suspended 10 metres in the air, you must climb the wobbly tree. Can you make it?

Tomahawk Throwing 

Ever thrown an axe before? Something away from the norm which develops aim and precision in a safe environment.

Campfire 

Get comfortable whilst eating marshmellows round your campfire as you hear stories from what you have all achieved in the day.

Bushcraft 

Learn how to build fires safely and correctly. Learn more about the natural environment and how to get back to and appreciate nature.

MEGASUP

Probably THE MOST fun you can have on and in the water! The perfect activity for developing team building skills and class bonding.

Canoeing

Develop the confidence, strength and skills to explore the lake or open waters of Poole Harbour. A great physical activity to get the heart rate up!

Zipwire

It takes a lot of guts, support and courage to  do this activity but the reward, when achieved, is great! You'll definitely want to do it again!

  • Courage to try something new

Nightline

This is a great teambuilding activity which gets groups working together and developing trust. Comunication is key!

  • Ability to work methodically
  • Develop trust between your fellow students

Orienteering

Certainly easier for some than others but another great teambuilding activity. Develops a real understanding of map reading

Firelighting

This activity requires patience and perserverance. Not always so easy to achieve for young people! Who has what it takes?

Codebreaking

A great opportunity for youngsters to use their mind and problem solving skills in an outdoor environment. Working together is key!
