Our France multi-activity residential trips offer a unique adventure experience based at one of three lakeside centres in southwest France. Fringed by forests and sandy beaches and all just a few miles from the fabulous Atlantic coast, our centres have been specifically selected for their capacity to offer a range of fantastic activities on and off the water and enhance both the pupil and group leader adventure experience.

We believe we offer a 'Brilliant Residential' which offers a safe, secure and happy setting for young people to experience a trip away from home. We offer diverse outdoor learning experiences which empower young people to take on new challenges and to succeed outside the classroom whilst having a whole load of fun! It's a wonderful opportunity for young people to enjoy their journey as independent people with lives outside their homes.

A Rockley Adventure France Trips benefits from sunny weather (mostly!), beautiful surroundings and plenty of fresh air, to which we add our fantastic multi activity or specialist sailing activity programmes. Our centre teams have the equipment, experience and passion to deliver a programme that is packed with variety, adventure and rewarding activities. Whether that be learning to windsurf, rallying down forest trails on mountain bikes or white water rafting, our activity programmes deliver on key skills and social, physical and emotional development - we have something for every child to achieve and enjoy learning in our very own "Rockley Classroom".

A Residential Adventure

Residential activity trips provide an opportunity to gain experience of living away from home and the chance to develop key personal qualities such as self-reliance and increased independence.

A trip with Rockley means getting the most out of outdoor living, with ‘alfresco’ meals, plenty of fresh air, space and freedom to relax. Pupils are grouped in their accommodation according to their age and sex. Staff, pupils, and accompanying adults all eat together in our communal area, which provides an ideal opportunity to socialise.

Our three lakeside centres in southwest France are uniquely arranged where we have our own area for our tent villages. The chalet-style tents, which sleep, on average, 6 children, each have electric lights, metal frame beds, mattresses, curtains and for added safety, a personal alarm. As Group Leader, your tent will also have a cooker, fridge, cooking utensils and some refreshments to welcome you on arrival.

Inspiring Healthier Lives

Healthy eating contributes significantly to the lives of children and young people. At Rockley, we ensure your pupils receive three healthy, balanced meals a day.

All our food is prepared on-site by our own catering staff. Ingredients are fresh and locally sourced giving each child the opportunity to taste a range of nutritional food as well as some local specialities! All our guests get provided with their essential five-a-day. At Rockley Adventure the only food choice is a healthy choice.

Our alfresco dining area makes a positive contribution to the dining experience. The meal times are an important social aspect of the trip. At Rockley Adventure we ensure there is adequate time available to eat their meal and chat about the activities and learning that the children have experienced in the day.

Every Student (Really) Matters

Our French residential activity trips provide an opportunity for your pupils to gain experience staying away from home whilst developing personal skills through a variety of fun activities. We believe that every child (really) matters and our France activity trips help empower children to develop key skills and personal confidence in a fun and safe environment.
