Why you should try an inspection visit

This May half term we are inviting teachers to join us on an inspection visit to our centres in south west France to experience first-hand the type of adventure we could be offering your school or group. Schools Manager Jack talks about the benefits of such a trip.

Body Image

When a teacher decides to run a trip for their school, it can be a daunting prospect. Being responsible for up to 100 pupils in another country can potentially be scary but it really doesn't have to be. Whether you are staying in the UK or going abroad, an inspection visit can make all the difference in alleviating any concerns you, the pupils or the parents may have. Immersing yourselves in the activities, talking to the staff and getting to know the Company you are booking with - how they operate and forming a good relationship with them will give you all the confidence you need to lead a trip.

The benefits

When, as a group leader you book a trip with Rockley, you will not only receive an outstanding level of customer service but our Schools Team representative will take the time to understand your requirements and work around your needs and the needs of the pupils who will be coming on the trip. We understand that every teacher is not only going on a teacher inspection visit during their working day, but also during their time off which is why we make every effort to make the trip as informative, rewarding and enjoyable for you as possible.

An inspection visit does not only give you  the opportunity to visit the centre they will be staying at – something that can’t possibly be expressed through a phone conversation or email but it will give you an understanding of how the trip will progress throughout the week, what the pupils will gain from the experience and how seriously we consider procedures including safety.

What's involved

Group leaders will fly out to Bordeaux and over the three days will be taken to each of our three lakeside centres. During the stay, you will observe how the centre teams work, enjoy some watersports, feast upon delicious cuisine made fresh from the kitchen by our head chef and enjoy some evening games. All this is designed help you understand how your pupils will keep both mind and body active during their stay with Rockley.

Let's do it!

Although we have over 42 years’ experience in running residential trips, we are sympathetic to the fact that this may well be your first time arranging a trip. As I am sure you say to your pupils, growth comes from learning, so don’t be afraid to try something new. We guarantee that an inspection visit with Rockley will leave you fully satisfied on your return to school and confident that you have all the tools and knowledge you need to help lead your own residential adventure. Together we will make your experience a roaring success and in turn give the pupils a trip of a lifetime and life-long memories.
