We speak to year one college student Antonia

Former Queen Elizabeth student Antonia Fox is about to complete her first year of the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity (Outdoors). Academically excelling and a real role model for the group in the classroom, her teachers love her positive approach to all the practical sessions.

Why did you choose to study this course and not A Levels for example?
I chose this course as it doesn't have an exam - it is all coursework based. I also liked the idea of learning watersports and gaining qualifications in them. I didn't have any A-Level choices that appealed to me.

What do you love about your course and / or studying at Rockley?
I really enjoy the practical side of the course and all the watersports.

Do you have any wise words for prospective students?
I would tell anyone to try and stay on top of their coursework as some of my classmates have found it difficult to catch up.

What are your future career plans and goals?
After this course I hope that I have achieved the grades to go to University to pursue a career as a chiropractor.

Would you recommend studying your course to other students and why?
Yes! I would because it is a lot of fun and a great opportunity to learn/gain new and varied qualifications.

Is there a particular staff member that has inspired you at Rockley and why?
All the instructors are experienced in watersports which has helped me to learn and improve my skills, particularly when I am struggling to complete a task on the water.
