The Dorset School Games & Can Do Festivals are Back!

Rockley Adventure and Active Dorset are extremely excited to announce the dates for the return of two great FREE SAILING AND WATERSPORTS EVENTS for Dorset Schools in 2022 - the Dorset School Games and the Can Do Festival. Both of these events aim to get your pupils back on the water, gaining confidence, having fun and igniting their competitive spirit!

Can-Do Festival

Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th June 2022 (9.00 – 15:30 approx)

This competition/experience is aimed at those children who have SEND requirements. It’s for those children who may struggle to engage with sport, perhaps low self-esteem, disengaged or whom you think would benefit from more opportunities to be active. 

We DO NOT require children to be able to swim a minimum distance, but basic water confidence is desirable. 

Maximum of 8 participants per school – The morning will consist of sailing taster and Kayak training and the afternoon will involve kayak sprint races, where individuals and the school can win prizes.

 

Dorset School Games – Sailing Regatta

Thursday 16th and Friday 17th June 2022 (9.00 – 16:30 approx)

Maximum of 12 participants per school for a day of racing – They will get the chance to take part in a series heats and finals with presentations at the end of the day.

Thursday 16th June 2022 - Secondary - Years 7,8,9 & 10 (mixed)

Friday 17th June 2022 - Primary - Years 4, 5, & 6 (mixed)

We DO NOT require children to be able to swim a minimum distance, but basic water confidence is desirable.
