Climate change, resource shortages and our throwaway culture make nurturing a love for nature and the environment more important than ever. It's vital they understand the concept of sustainability and the importance of caring for their environment so they can become responsible community members and leaders.
Throughout all our residential trips environmental connection and mindfulness of their natural surroundings inspire environmental awareness in your students as well as a sense of social and personal responsibility. We aim to open up conversations about how we care for the planet, steps we are taking and most importantly why this is so important. We will empower your students to share their voice and make a difference at their school and in their communities.
What better environment than the outdoors to immerse students in their natural surroundings, develop an understanding and appreciation for the beauty of our planet. All of our activities are environmentally friendly and use natural resources to power them. For example, wind power when sailing, paddle power, wood and recycled materials to build a raft or light a fire.
When surrounded by inspirational leaders who really do care about the environment we work in, young people will be inspired to reuse their water bottle, reduce waste and recycle anything that can’t be reused. Team Rockley inspire young people to respect the earth and water and young people will go back to their daily life with a refreshed understanding of how important it is to protect our planet for future generations to enjoy as much as they have.
