Success story - 2019 graduate Charlotte Ayton

After graduating in May 2019, Charlotte worked a season for Rockley at Le Lac Mimizan. She then went on to work a ski season with Ski Famille in Les Gets working as a child carer. As well as looking after children, taking them to do lots of fun activities such as sledging and ice skating, she also gets to ski every day and is becoming quite the expert! She loves working outdoors in the mountains and is having an awesome time.

Charlotte has transferred many skills she has learnt from her Rockley sixth form course to her seasons and is gaining more confidence working with children and adults. Between skiing in the winters and spending her time on the water in the summer, she is having the time of her life! In the future she has been offered a place at Bath University to study Sport Coaching and Management and plans to continue working for Rockley during her summers, gaining further life-enriching experiences and new qualifications.

Charlotte advice: “Throw yourselves in and give everything a go - you won’t regret it.”

Preparing young people for their first residential trip (for the youngsters) >

Every young person is unique - some come across as confident, energetic leaders, whilst others shy away from the limelight to work away in the background. However, no matter how outgoing or confident a young person may be - going on a school trip away from home for the first time, can be scary and daunting which is why we want their first trip away to be a fantastic one!

We're making waves!
