Rockley Receives a Royal Visit

President of the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), HRH The Princess Royal made her annual trip to the 63rd London Boat Show last week to visit many of the UK leisure marine exhibiting companies.

Accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence the keen sailors took a tour to meet teams from companies including; RS Sailing, MDL Marinas, Minorca Sailing and Rockley Watersports.

The new Dream Lodge Marina and Boating Lake was of particular interest to HRH The Princess Royal, who was able to see many activities happening including a demonstration of the Hobie Mirage Eclipse.

Peter Gordon commented on the visit: "HRH The Princess Royal is always very engaging and very interested. Princess Anne is well informed and listens and it was great to be recognised, the companies that are visited were mainly small business, the very British businesses who have a close link to the RYA. It is great that we are all recognised for supporting the good work the RYA does.

"It was nice to have HRH The Princess Royal at the boat show and we were able to show her good quality products that they had not seen before. Both Princess Anne and Sir Tim were quite interested in the Hobie Mirage products."

As President of the RYA, HRH The Princess Royal presented the RYA Yachtmaster of the Year 2016 award to Zara Roberts on the RYA stand at the show.

Let’s get centre specific! >

When it comes to residential activity trips for young people, there is generally a ‘top 5’ when it comes to what group leaders are looking for. Amongst safety, types of activities and company reputation is always centre and location. This is why, as a company, when choosing an activity centre, the location is at the forefront of our decision-making. Our centres have been specifically selected for their capacity to offer a range of fantastic activities and enhance both the pupil and group leader adventure experience.

We're making waves!
