Although synonymous with watersports, Rockley has over 47 years’ experience in offering school and group residential activity trips and feel that this is a natural progression. Managing director Pip Woods said: “We are immensely excited about this next venture. Offering ski trips has been on our radar for some time now and it was just a matter of selecting the right location and getting the timing just right.”
The ski resort of Val Cenis offers 125km of slopes and is ideally located at the heart of the department of Savoie, French Alps. With the Sports Village at the heart of the village itself and the accommodation just 20 metres away from the nearest lift, this ski-in ski-out village is perfect for young people to experience a school residential ski trip away from home.

A priority was also to be able to offer something that was both affordable and brilliant. With prices from as little as £842 per person, we hope to enable those who may not previously have been able to afford to go skiing, the opportunity to experience something amazing.”
Rockley’s partnership with UCPA started in 2022 when they announced that they will be returning to France with a brand-new activity centre - Bombannes from this May. Despite some huge obstacles – Covid19 and Brexit, Rockley has always been passionate about being able to offer adventure trips abroad, and when the opportunity to form a partnership with UCPA came up, they did not hesitate to take it.
Rockley has thrived over the past three years with a further outdoor adventure centre in the Purbecks – Buddens Activity Centre to add to their Dorset-based Rockley Point and Poole Park Lake centres. Buddens Activity Centre has already seen significant developments with further improvements currently underway with additional shower and toilet facilities. This new ski offering now sees Rockley cement itself as a leader in providing high-quality residential trips and is testament to how the company continues to grow and evolve.
