What year was your first season with Rockley?

My first season at Rockley was in 2017.

What did you do before joining Rockley?

I finished school and joined the Rockley College BTEC course. I've also worked at AFC Bournemouth.

What do you enjoy the most about working for Rockley?

I most enjoy seeing my team grow as instructors and also having children come back regularly, getting into watersports, and really growing in confidence week on week, year on year.

What have you learnt during your time with Rockley, either personally or professionally?

I have learnt how to progress from being an instructor to running a centre and leading a team of instructors. It's great to now be in a position where I can encourage new and young instructors to upskill and be the best they can be.

What is your favourite Rockley memory?

My favourite memory was teaching my first windsurf course, watching the candidates progress and helping them pass the course.

School adventure trips and class bonding >

Starting a new year or transitioning from primary to secondary school can, for many, be somewhat daunting. A residential activity trip could be the perfect way to get your class bonding and feeling excited and confident about the new year ahead.

Outdoor v Gaming >

Well as one of the school’s team at Rockley and a lover of the outdoors that’s an easy one for me… outdoors every time!! But are our children sharing the same idea and is the digital age we live in, where technology seems such a dominant part of our everyday life, the reason why our young people are losing the desire to get out of doors?

We're making waves!
