It was an evening of showcasing the best of the UK marine industry and recognising fellow British Marine member companies that ended in joy for Rockley owner, Peter Gordon.

As voted for by the members, Peter was announced as the 2017 British Marine Trades Association Personality of the Year.

On receiving his award Peter commented:

“The British Marine Trades Association awards is good, I have been going for the past five years and it was a very pleasant surprise to be honest, I was not expecting it.

“It was a great fun night and nice to come home with an award. I feel this is a nice reflection on Rockley’s 40 years and of my time as boat show’s Chairman. The British Marine Trades Association is our part of the industry, the people who win these awards are from the small boat end and small suppliers or supplying small parts, it is not the glamour end but the ‘real end’.”

Peter was just one of ten award winners on the night with the remaining two British Marine Trades Association awards going to; Aquafax for Business of the Year and the Chairman’s Special Award, chosen by Chairman, Paul Martin, was awarded to Peter Wallbank of August Race.

Rockley was also chosen as runner up for the British Marine Leisure Boating Customer Service Award which was won by Nisos Yacht Charter.
