Our hair shaving heroes raise over £3600

Congratulations to our four brave members of the Rockley Team who committed to shaving their heads in order to raise money for the wonderful charity that is Julia's House Children's Hospice!

Body Image

For some of the quartet, the need to shave their head was more of a necessity than a desire while for the others....well they were bravely showing their support for their co-workers and friends! Whatever the reason, the four lads have raised over £3600 for Julia's House and we, as a Company are extremely proud of them!

The actual deed took place during Rockley's end of year season where the 2018 seson staff gathered together to watch this momentous event. Along with donations to the boys JustGiving page, over £400 was raised on the night with individuals silently bidding to take over hairdressing duties. Rockley Owners Peter and Liz also very generously agreed to match the amount raised, which meant the total reached over £3600! Thanks to all the staff who donated on the night and well done to Andy 'Straw' Smith, Cat and Alex for dong a 'not so bad job' of shaving their heads.

As always, Julia's House is at the heart of our charity events but it's great that we can all have a bit of fun along the way!

This year, four Rockley employees will definitely be requesting bobble hats for Christmas!

Supporting World Mental Health Day >

In recognition of World Mental Health Day, Rockley Education has taken some time to reflect on our practices and take action to support the positive mental wellbeing of our post-16 students. At such a pivotal time in the lives of these young adults, their mental wellbeing is as important as ever. BTEC teacher Lee takes a small glimpse of what we do promote a positive state of mind in our students.
