Owners Peter and Lis Gordon along with Managing Director Pip Woods and Operatons Director Rob Clark hosted a wonderful night of fantastic food and drink, great speeches, superb dancing and great friends which brought together individuals from over four decades. 
Everyone who had worked for Rockley over the past 40 years as well as industry friends and family joined together to celebrate on 12th November at the Lighthouse venue in Poole. It was a true celebration of Rockley's achievement and a big thank you to all of those who have contributed to the success of the Company over the years.
It truly was a night for reminscing as guests from decade 1 right through to decade 4 got together to compare stories and look at 40 years worth of Rockley photos. Peter, Pip and Rob all took to the stage as they reflected on the past 40 years and talked about the future of Rockley. Pip aslo spoke passionately of Rockley's chosen charity - Julia's House hospice. Over the past 3 years, the Company have taken part in endless sporting events and have hosted charity days and sibling weekends all with the aim of raising money and the profile of such a deserving charity. Part of the night was dedicated to a raffle where guests kindly donated a range of prizes from sailing bags and champagne to a ski trip and family holiday for 4. The total raised on the night was in excess of £8500 - a remarkable amount!
Rockley didn't just invite guests to one night of fun, it was a whole weekend of events which started of with drinks on Poole Quay on Friday evening followed by a sailing regatta at Rockley's flagship centre at Rockley Point, a night of celebration and dancing at the Lighthouse and finally polished off with brunch at Rockley's Harbour's Edge cafe on the beach on a very sunny Sunday morning for those who could drag themselves out of bed! 
Highlights of the weekend according to Owner, Peter Gordon included the huge Rockley 40 lights (there was no forgetting what everyone was there for!), a dreary but fun packed day of sailing on Saturday, everyone's efforts to add a touch of pantone 382 to thir party wear (taken very seriously by some...shoes, shirts and hi-vis jackets!), the very popular photo booth at the Lighthouse venue which comprised of a few drunken photos, a great evening of music by the impressive Carterello band, the hugely popular sunglasses in Rockley's signature lime green colour which every guest went home with, and the kind contributions by everyone which meant that Rockley could raise a fabulous amount of money for Julia's House.
Rockley is now very much looking ahead to 2017 and beyond with some exciting projects already planned. It has been 10 years since the last big party and alot has happened since then. We now look forward to the next 10 years!
