Jack has been with Rockley since 2010. The father of three young girls, he recognises that sometimes the best way to engage youngsters is by taking them outside.

“For me, it’s all about providing youngsters with the best outdoor learning experiences possible in order that they can thrive as individuals.”

Sara joined the Rockley team in 2016. She loves to travel, and as a former teacher at a Primary School, she fully recognises the benefits of learning outside the classroom.

“You truly cannot underestimate the extent to which complimenting what you teach in the classroom with outdoor activities can really improve a pupil’s level of engagement, creativity and personal development.”

Keiron started at Rockley in 2009 and LOVES sailing! For him, it’s all about going above and beyond and being the best at what we do.

“We are constantly striving to improve what we offer which is why our teacher, group leader and pupil feedback each year is so important to us. We want to continually surpass our customer expectations. It’s also about ensuring the highest level of professionalism from our staff in order to achieve this.”

Cath first started at Rockley in 2007 as an RYA Instructor, pursued a life in the marine industry and rejoined us in March 2018. She absolutely loves the water and even lives on her very own yacht!

“By stepping out of the classroom, children can gain an understanding and appreciation of just how capable they are. When you see it first hand, job satisfaction really doesn’t get much better than that!”

Teachers are amazing! However, with increasing pressures on workload and such a busy job, why take the extra time to organise a school trip? Well, because believe it or not there are many benefits for you, as well as the students.

Preparing young people for their first residential trip (for the youngsters) >

Every young person is unique - some come across as confident, energetic leaders, whilst others shy away from the limelight to work away in the background. Here at Rockley, we celebrate the achievements of all our students and nurture and mould their skill set. However, no matter how outgoing or confident a young person may be - going on a school trip away from home for the first time, can be scary and daunting which is why we want their first trip away to be a fantastic one!

We're making waves!
