Bring along your team of 4-6 people to battle it out in a series of fun challenges on water and on land!
Competitors can test their mettle with Kayak Endurance, Stand-up Paddle Board Racing, Water Walkers, Floating Obstacles and much more. All equipment, wetsuits and life jackets will be provided.
Linda Schofield-Green, Challenge and Events Manager at Julia’s House said: “This is going to be a fantastic day; a lot of people are going to get very wet and have a great time doing it! This is the perfect event for teams of friends, work colleagues and families; and the funds raised will help us to continue to offer our free service to the families that really need us. We would encourage teams to sign up quickly because there has been a lot of interest.”
Spectators are welcome to cheer on the teams and there will be a barbecue and beer tent to enjoy. Julia’s House is also looking for volunteers to help on the day; anyone interested should get in touch with Linda Schofield Green on the number below.
Cost: £50 to register a team with a suggested group fundraising target of £500.

Splash in the Park – Team Briefing
Please feel free to bring family and friends as spectators as there will be things to do as well as cheer on the teams. The pedalos on the lake are also available all day, at a reduced cost, with all proceeds benefitting Julia’s House.
If any of your family and friends would like to help out for an hour or two we would be delighted as we have been given a collecting license for Poole park, which is a rare honour.
Timetable –
Please be in the park for 9.30am to register your team in time for a 10.00am team briefing.
If you want to set up a gazebo on the day can you make sure you drop it off by 9.15am as, unless you park in the main car park, you will have to drive off-site and park in the Dolphin Shopping Centre or the Rockley Watersport’s car park at the rear of their offices in 13 Parkstone Rd, Poole, Dorset BH15 2NN (first come first served).
We are aiming to hold a grand final at 3.40pm and the prize-giving will be take place at 4pm , which will signify the end of the event.
Tactics -
You will be given a full briefing and team pack in the morning with all your instructions and can then decide your tactics as a team, but I can tell you in advance that you will need to choose three team members to take part in the Obstacle Course, two for the Stand-Up Paddle Boarding, and one or two members to take part in the Water Walking event.
The Endurance Kayaking event will continue all day from 10.15am to 12.30pm and again from 1.30pm to 3.30pm and you must decide as a team how best to man your one-man team kayak in order to rack up as many circuits as possible (of approximately one mile)
Equipment-
Please ensure you are wearing suitable clothing.
Footwear: trainers or water shoes are essential. You will need towels, warm dry clothing and sun cream.
We will provide team vests so, if you do not have company/team t shirts, we will still be able to identify you for scoring purposes.
Wet suits are available if you pre book with me, (first come, first served) or you can bring your own if you prefer to use one (not essential)
Refreshments-
You will be given a lunch meal voucher for each team member for the barbecue but drinks are not included. There will be a beer tent so refreshments will be available, or you can bring your own.
