Getting to our Rockley Point Campus is easier than you think!

With many students all over Dorset now considering their further education options, we wanted to provide you with some easy to digest information on how you can reach us from neighbourhoods across Dorset.

Body Image

Making a choice on your further education studies is a challenge and getting the right course for you is key. So, don’t let the journey deter you from choosing a course that could be right up your street and make a real difference to your life.

Currently, Rockley Education students descend on our Rockley Point campus from as far afield as Wyke in Weymouth and Lymington in Hampshire. Students also join us from the small villages in the local area, meaning our students get to meet new friends from a range of backgrounds and settings in the county. A resilient attitude is required to persist with the challenges public transport can present, but it is also a brilliant and eco-friendly way to travel with the ultimate reward at the end, a day at ROCKLEY! No matter how arduous the journey, all our students see the value in being at our Rockley Point Campus which is what motivate them to take on their commute week in – week out.

With all students coming into Poole, we also offer a minibus service to college from our Head Office in Poole town centre. Our students love this, as it’s a great get together with their mates for the final leg of their journey!

Here are some tips for travel:

Ensure you give yourself enough time to meet public transport

The 16-17 saver railcard – This saves you 50% on rail fares!

Have the right kit – make sure you’ve got a good waterproof and some nice thick layers to keep you warm

Use the time wisely – It can be a great time to keep on top of coursework or reading for the day ahead

Other students like to spend their commute listening to their favourite podcasts of music (a good playlist can change any journey!)

Treat yourself – Friday’s seem to be a typical day our students talk about a treat on their commute to a bacon bap for breakfast or their favourite coffee!
