Working together with Poole Festival of Running, we hosted the Duathlon 'with a difference' on Sunday 4 June at our Poole Park Centre.

Upto 20 entrants of all ages took part in the watersports-based Duathlon featuring a 2km run around the lake, a 1.2km paddle and a second 2km run of the lake. Competitiors were offered the option of a kayak or stand up paddleboard to use for their on-water section, the kayak turned out to be the popular and fast choice for many of the individuals and teams taking part.

Congratulations to Tom Richards who completed the three laps in under 29 minutes, followed very closely by Selwyn Richards and Team Sarah Swift & Steven Short claiming second and third place respectively.

Rockley Poole Park Centre Manager, AJ Windsor commented after the event: "The Duathlon went really well and we have had some great feedback. It would be good to work with Poole Festival of Running to help put this event on again."
