Trips for Uniformed Groups

Rockley are proud to work in partnership with Dorset Scouts at Buddens Activity Centre to provide outstanding experiences to both Dorset Scouts and the wider scouting community.

At Rockley we have created the ideal environment for uniformed groups to enjoy a meaningful and truly adventurous experience away from home. A residential trip plays a key role in building relationships and developing the skills that young people need to achieve their goals and succeed in later life. It offers opportunities to break down existing barriers, heirachies and power relationships, where young people and leaders can work more collaboratively in unfamiliar surroundings and gain a real sense of belonging and community.

A Rockley adventure focuses on inclusivity, opportunity, team spirit, encouragement, achievement and positive life-long friendships. We understand both the Scout Programme and the National Curriculum and will work with you to help young people develop social and practical skills as well as specific projects. That could be badges and awards in the Scouting Programme or projects that meet your curriculum targets. Why not combine an activity trip with a visit to Brownsea Island (the birthplace of scouting) or the wonderful Jurassic Coast World Heritage site?
