Step 1. Do your research, check out our website or visit us on an Open Day

Rockley Education is the largest provider of Outdoor Adventure courses in the area for Sixth Form students. We are proud to be able to offer NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Sport (Outdoors) and also the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Outdoor Adventure). To start your research, you can find out loads about our courses by visiting our website and reading the course pages or by going on Facebook to see what we are getting up to.  Another good starting point, is to come along to one of our Open Days where you can gain further information and advice from our Education Team, Teachers, Instructors and students.

We want you to make the best choice and decision so once you’ve done all your research, if you would like more guidance, we’re here to help. Why not book in for an Advice Sessionwhere you will have the opportunity to have a one to one conversation with a member of the Education Team to discuss your options? To book this contact or call 01202 677272

Step 2. Complete the application form

When you’ve done all your research, now’s the time to apply. You can download an application form here. Take your time completing the application form and provide us with as much information as you can. Use the Personal Statement to explain your reasons for choosing the course, what interests you about it and your career plans, jobs, work experience, voluntary work, relevant interests or hobbies and any other achievements. Our courses are extremely popular and often oversubscribed so we recommend applying as early as possible. Please complete your application form and send to the following email:

Step 3. Attend an interview

Once your application has been received and processed, we will invite you along to attend an interview with the Education Team. The interview is an opportunity for you to find out more about Rockley Education and your course and for you to discuss your application further. The aim of this step is to make sure you are confident you are making the correct choice and for us to establish whether you are suited to Rockley and the course you have applied for.

Your interview will take place at our Education Centre – Rockley Point, normally on a Wednesday afternoon. At this time, you will have the chance to tour the facility and meet the Education Team.

Step 4. Your offer to come and join us!

After your interview and if you are successful, you will receive an offer letter. This will be a conditional offer unless you have already completed your GCSE’s. The offer will require you to meet the entry requirements of the course you have applied for and also to have gained a suitable reference. The letter will ask you to respond and accept your place on to the course.

Once you have accepted your place, we will communicate with you regularly and invite you to follow up events and taster sessions so that you start to meet your new course mates and begin to feel like a member of #TeamRockley and ready to join us in September. We will also be in touch about our first Multi Activity Trip abroad to France which we do every year in the first week of term, how exciting!

Step 5. GCSE results and enrolment

After you have collected your GCSE results, come and see us and enrol on to your course. This is where you will formally register for your course and begin your sixth form adventure with us at Rockley. On this day you will need to bring with you your GCSE Results, your passport and your EHIC card. We will provide you with some other forms to complete such as your Medical Form and also a Student Bursary Form.

We very much hope that you achieve your target grades and can enrol on your first choice of course. However, we would like to reassure that whatever happens, if you do not achieve the grades stated on your conditional offer there is still a place for you and by attending enrolment we will advise you of the options open to you.
