Young Enterprise - Skills Match Careers Event

Young Chamber is supporting Young Enterprise’s excellent DASH (Dorset & South Hants) Employability Skills Programme for schools across Dorset, sponsored by JP Morgan. 
 
Rockley are very much looking forward to taking part in the Skills Match careers event on Monday 25th March hosted by Signature Techair located at Bournemouth Airport.
 
Doors open from 8am with the events running all day until 7pm to give parents the opportunity to attend in the evening.  We look forward to talking to a parents and students from a whole host of schools throughout the day and discussing what Rockley can offer young individuals seeking further career opportunities. 
 
The event will be laid out in 8 Skills Match areas, focusing on transferable skills. We will be offering advice on the following areas:
 
1.       Communication
2.       Organisation
3.       Financial Capability
4.       Resilience
5.       Confidence
6.       Problem Solving
7.       Initiative
8.       Teamwork
 
We look forward to sitting alongside organisations such as Duke of Edinburgh, Scouts/Guides, Cadets, Sports clubs, STEM Clubs, drama groups etc., to provide the opportunity for young people to “up skill” in some or all of the transferable skills listed. The events will be structured to ensure companies get the best interaction with students and parents.
