The overall responsibility of the Centre Manager is to provide our clients with a safe, enjoyable and high quality holiday/training course. You will liaise with the Overseas Manager to ensure management of the centre team provides a safe, well organized, motivated and happy environment for clients and team alike.

You will provide overall supervision of all centre activities both shore- and water-based. and ensure clients and staff are aware of and follow our safety procedures and policies. You will ensure that all administrative and official duties are completed correctly and filed in the correct place and, working closely with the Activities Manager, ensure clients and staff understand correct use of centre equipment.

You are to maintain good relationships with the campsite and French suppliers as well as providing a high level of customer service to our clients.

Requirements for this job;

> Current RYA (or other accepted) First Aid and DBS certificates
> Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel and hold a full UK driving licence
> You will need to be a motivated, flexible and professional person who will lead by example
> You should have experience in managing people of a variety of ages in a number of different roles
> You should be a good communicator, able to deliver information clearly to both individuals and to larger groups of clients and staff
> Good customer service skills are essential
> The ability to speak French would be an advantage but not a necessity
> Ideally the successful candidate will have experience in managing a successful watersports centre

Activities Manager

The overall responsibility of an Activities Manager is to support the Centre Manager and manage all activities at the centre. Our Activity Managers are responsible for the running of the centre in the absence/day off of the Centre Manager.

You are required to liaise with the Centre Manager to ensure management of the activity team provides a safe, well-organized, motivated and happy activity environment for clients and team alike. Provide advice and assistance to less experienced/new instructors both on and off the water. You will work alongside the Centre Manager with staff inductions, training, appraisals, motivation and discipline.

You must ensure that all administrative and official duties are completed correctly and filed in the correct place and you will liaise with the Centre Manager and Overseas Facilities Coordinator to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the centre and its equipment.

You will be in contact with teachers and parents to provide a high level of customer service to our clients and are required to run the centre in the absence of the Centre Manager and care taker role in absence of Manager in hours off.

Requirements for this job;

> Current RYA (or other accepted) First Aid and DBS certificates:
   > RYA Senior Instructor Sailing
   > RYA Start Windsurf Instructor
And must have either personal experience or hold qualifications in the following:
   > UKCC Level 1
   > MIAS Level 1
   > RYA Powerboat Instructor
   > BSUP

> Understands Microsoft Word and Excel and hold a full UK driving licence
> You will need to be a motivated, flexible and professional person who will lead by example.
> You should be a confident communicator, able to deliver information clearly to both individuals and to larger groups of clients and staff
> Good customer service skills are essential
> The ability to speak French would be an advantage but not a necessity

Chief Instructor

The overall responsibility of the Chief Instructor at Poole Park is to support the Centre Manager and manage all activities at the centre. Our Chief Instructors are responsible for the running of the centre in the absence/day off of the Centre Manager. Our Chief Instructor is expected to set and maintain the standards outlined in the Company’s Standard and Local Operating Procedures; attitude to work, company equipment, personal presentation, customer service and company ethos relating to our team and clients. Liaising with the Centre Manager to ensure management of the activity team provides a safe, well-organized, motivated and happy activity environment for clients and team alike. Provide advice and assistance to less experienced/new instructors both on and off the water. Assist Centre Manager with staff inductions, training, appraisals, motivation and discipline.

You will work closely with the Centre Manager to supervision of all courses and activities, on and off the water, making sure that all necessary paperwork is complete as well as ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of the centre and its equipment.

You will ensure that all administrative and official duties are completed correctly and filed in the correct place; including centre log book, course reports, fleet leader forms, equipment forms, weekly schedules and personnel documents. You will also be required to liase with teachers and parents to provide a high level of customer service to our clients.

Activity Instructor

The overall responsibility of an Activity Instructor is to provide a high standard of instruction to all students within the group. You will instruct courses and activities in line with NGB schemes/syllabuses and deliver some evening entertainment activities.

General duties will comprise of assisting in the kitchen, cleaning tents, night duty and supervising washup area after meals.

Support Staff

The overall responsibility of the job is to provide a high standard of centre facilities, care of centre equipment and general land duties and also providing care to our clients while not on activity sessions. Daily duties are allocated and include but are not limited to cleaning of the wash blocks, clearing rubbish and preparing tent accommodation prior to client arrivals. 1 week in 3 (general rule) rota'd onto Night Duty where they will work evening shifts 10 - 7am. Driving duties as and when required on centre.

Centre and land duties include;

> Wake up wash up duty - assist in waking the residential school group clients at 0755, oversee the washing up of breakfast, lunch and
   dinner crockery, glasses and cutlery
> Night duty - work from 2200 - 0730 on a one week in three rotation as the on duty night person
> General care and welfare duties such as running or assisting activity instructors with evening entertainments, assisting with beach
   games and swimming pool sessions. Assisting in the kitchen when necessary. Assisting with off-site trips/excursions - eg Aqualand,
   Dune de Pyla, Mimizan and Biscarrosse Plage

The overall responsibility of Montage and Set up Staff is to ensure that the centres are set up in time. You will assis with the set up and building of the centres prior to client arrivals/opening for the season. This will include erecting tents and putting together centre equipment out of storage - setting up, repairing and cleaning the toilet and wash blocks and the centre kitchen units.

Your role will also include any necessary maintenance, building, painting and repairs as well as carrying out centre equipment checks; ensure any faulty/damaged equipment is repaired or reported for repair. This will include putting together centre actiivity equipment out of storage - setting up, repairing and cleaning the range of centre boats.

Requirements for this job;

> 18 years or over
> Physically fit - able to cope with manual handling work
> Hardworking, motivated and prepared to work in all conditions and in a team
> Qualifications or experience in electrical work, joinery or plumbing is desirable but not essentia

The overall responsibility of the Chef is to deliver high quality meals to all our clients and staff team throughout their stay. The majority of the people you will be catering for will be UK school children staying with us for up to 200 clients and staff on a weekly basis. This will include all ordering from local suppliers, preparation and production of meals in line with the menus and budgets as agreed with the Centre Manager. 

You will liaise with the Centre Manager to create and prepare set menus which will suit both children and adults and consider special dietary requirements, all within budget.
