Learning to sail can be the start of something new and exciting and the best way to get to grips with the basics is by learning to sail a dinghy. The course will take you through all the necessary training to enable you to be confident out on the water – go on what are you waiting for.
Junior & Youth - Launching, recovery, steering, parts of the boat, basic sailing skills, rope work and collision avoidance.
Adult - Rigging, launching, sailing in all directions, capsize recovery and essential safety knowledge.

Weekend courses - call to check availability
We provide 3 day, 5 day and 6 week* courses for all age categories, with weekend courses available for adults.
*6 week courses are at Poole Park and take place on a Wednesday evening with courses starting on May 4th for 6 weeks and July 6th for 6 weeks.
Junior & Youth - After a 3 day course your aim is to acheive RYA Stage 1, and after a 5 day course your aim is to acheive RYA Stage 2.
Adult - After a 2-day weekend or 3 day course your aim is to acheive RYA Level 1, and after a second weekend or a 5 day course your aim is to acheive RYA Stage 2.
